Mills' work on replacing the bridge for Maritime Steel consisted of moving 130 steel girders from Dartmouth to Lawrencetown.
Nine Mile River Bridge Span
This delivery
consisted of forty sections of bridge span delivered
for Shaw Pipe on a very tight schedule. Working
conditions were very difficult with the awkward
dimensions of the loads and the steep incline
surrounding the work site. Despite this, all forty
loads were delivered incident free and on
schedule.
Hurricane Juan Clean-up
Following the tree damage to Halifax in September
of 2003 due to Hurricane Juan, hundreds of fallen
trees were used for bark mulch. More than 15000 cubic
yards of this mulch were moved by Mills, over a span
of three days.
